Milk-Free Moon Latte

Milk-Free Moon Latte

First it was from  cow’s, then soy and now a variety of nuts and seeds… milk in all of it’s forms are a key staple in anyone’s home. When we think of making a creamy smoothie or a milky latte – it’s a must have… Until now! We’ve created a milky moon latte that doesn’t require any milks or non-dairy alternatives, and doesn’t compromise on creaminess one bit. Perfect for snow days, returning from a trip to an empty fridge or a night-time soothing tonic that you can whip up with the simplest ingredients.

One of the main reasons we love to drink this creamy concoction is because it’s full of the good kinda fats that benefit brain function and promote healthy blood flow. Our brains are made mostly of fat and cholesterol; and the majority of these fatty acids are actually saturated! We know what you’ve heard, but please don’t fear healthy fats! You can read more about the science here. Coconut oil, grass-fed butter and  ghee are a delicious way to does up on healthy saturated fats to have our brains functioning optimally! And the creaminess of these fats blended in this latte create a milk-like feel that hits all the right spots.

Cashews are the nuts we chose here as they’re so creamy and science tells us they can not only  help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes, but also make us prettier! The copper in cashews create enzymes involved in hemoglobin and collagen formation, helping us get the glowing skin and luscious locks we dream of! They’ve been used for centuries in Chinese Medicine to benefit the organ they resemble – the kidneys.

Ladies – the hormone-balancing nourishment and soothing sweetness of this recipe is the perfect dose of comfort during tougher times of the month. The fats in this recipe function as signal messengers for critical jobs such as hormone release and nerve function. And this also directly influences our metabolism! So you can enjoy this a pearly moon hug in a cup, and rest easy hat you’ll not only satisfy your craving but also show your body a whole lotta love.

We love blending in a little extra cinnamon too not only for the warming flavor, but also for it’s amazing benefits like lowering blood-sugar and improving digestion, immunity and more.

Blend, sip and enjoy this magic warm! xoxo
